BUILDING AND DEVELOPPING DEMOCRACY, GOVERNMENTAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM OF INDONESIA BASED ON RELIGIOUS, TRADITION AND CULTURAL VALUES IN INDONESIA

BE CAREFUL, SELF-CORRECTION, NO BLAME THE OTHER, NO JUDGE THE OTHER AS THE MATERIALS IN BUILDING DEMOCRACY, AND THE GOVERNMENTAL AND CONSTITUTIONAL SYSTEM OF REPUBLIC OF INDONESIA
There is an advise or message from the Sasak ancestors to their generations, namely: “dendeq simu bengaq, sebab julu mudi gen te daitang.” This message contain values: (1) No comment to anyone suffering from disaster or difficulty; (2) self-correction to avoid this difficulty befall to him; (3) no blame the other for this difficulty; (4) no judge the other; and (5) be patient in solving this difficulty.
These motivated anyone to avoid himself from commenting for anyone suffering from difficulties. Instead give the comment, it is better for him to correct himself so as to this difficulty befall him. Thus, if this difficulty befall him, he does not blame anyone for this difficulty; and, if this difficulty befall the other, he does not judge him. In addition, he attempts to free from this difficulty, if he fail, fail ... and fail again, he with fully patient consistently attempt to solve it until he get success.
These values may be broadened their application from the affairs of family, kampong and village communities to the nationhood practice. These can be applied as follows.
1. The holders of people mandate ask themselves whether they have performed this mandate as best as possible. If yes, how is its result? If there is a weakness. What is its cause? In contrary to the people may ask themselves on the contribution to their state for their involvement in solving the issues faced by their government.
2. Failure suffered, not automatically to be blamed to the other, but, it must be search its causes, its barriers. If this causes and barriers ma be found, it improvement may be done more easily.
3. If the efforts to improvement, development and implementation of this mandate do not run well, do not immediately judge the executors of this task are not capable. The best steps should be taken are evaluate what they do succinctly, and learn it carefully why this task did not run well.
4. As the holders of the people mandate, various question, and critique from all sides. This need the holders possessing the patient, endurance and tolerant to the critique while always improve and develop their achievement. Whereas all of the people share their roles and responsibilities to achieve all program or plan made the holders of this mandate.
